Objective –
The project aimed to visualize the shift from calm faith to growing fear and moral distortion, using pacing, transitions, and visual tension to reflect his unraveling. By focusing on atmosphere rather than literal horror, the goal was to create a motion piece that feels unsettling in a slow, creeping way — letting the audience experience the character’s internal collapse through movement, rhythm, and tone.
Concept
Sanctuary is a horror based motion piece that is set inside a Catholic church. The piece explores themes of guilt, devotion, fear, and reverence by using familiar religious imagery and twisting it into something unsettling. Rather than critiquing religion directly, the work focuses on how sacred spaces can feel both protective and oppressive. The audience includes fans of psychological and religious horror, as well as viewers interested in cinematic atmosphere and symbolic storytelling.
