Objective – To develop a cohesive visual identity and marketing materials for the Voucher Accountability Project, helping educate Ohio residents about the impact of the EdChoice Voucher Program through clear, accessible, and engaging design.
I partnered with Honesty for Ohio Education as a freelance graphic designer to build the visual identity for the Voucher Accountability Project. The project began with research into the Voucher Accountability Project's mission and target audience. I explored Ohio's EdChoice voucher program to better understand the issues surrounding public school funding and educational transparency. From there, I identified key themes such as accountability, trust, and public awareness.
Initial Explorations
After establishing the project's goals and visual direction, I began exploring a wide range of logo concepts. Rather than committing to a single idea immediately, I experimented with different symbols, typography, and layouts that represented accountability, transparency, and education. Some concepts emphasized official documentation and oversight through checkmarks and document-inspired graphics, while others explored shield-like forms to communicate trust and protection. I also tested different type treatments, icon placements, and proportions to evaluate readability and versatility across digital and print applications.
